Content do's and don'ts

The best content feels like you. Film the product in your real routine and share your honest experience after using it.

  • Show the product in real life — kitchen, gym, morning routine
  • Hook in the first 2 seconds
  • Share your genuine experience after a few days of use
  • Mention your discount code clearly and pin it in the comments
  • Use natural light and clear audio
  • Copy another creator's video or script
  • Use music or footage you have no rights to
  • Show the product next to competitor brands
  • Film in unsafe, explicit or illegal situations
  • Buy fake views, likes or followers

Disclosure: #ad and #gifted

Your audience must always know when content is part of a brand partnership. This is the law in both markets, not a preference.

  • South Africa (ARB Code): label gifted content #gifted and paid or commissioned content #ad, at the start of the caption — not hidden among hashtags.
  • United States (FTC Endorsement Guides): use #ad or "Paid partnership with Velobiotics" in the caption and say it in the video for TikTok and Reels. #sp, #collab or "thanks Velobiotics" alone are not enough.
  • Turn on the platform's branded-content / paid-partnership toggle when it is available.
  • Disclose even when you only received free product.

If in doubt, disclose. A missing tag is the most common reason content is sent back for changes.

Health-claim rules

Our products are wellness supplements, not medicines. You can describe how they fit your routine and how you feel — never that they treat, cure or prevent any disease.

  • "Supports my gut health"
  • "Part of my morning routine"
  • "I feel less bloated since I started"
  • "Results vary — this is my experience"
  • "Cures IBS / anxiety / infections"
  • "Treats PCOS or infertility"
  • "Lose 10 kg in a week"
  • "Better than your medication"
  • "Doctor-approved" unless we gave you that wording

Pregnant, breastfeeding or on medication? Remind viewers to speak to their healthcare provider before starting any supplement.

Brand safety

  • No hate speech, harassment, nudity, drugs, alcohol misuse or dangerous challenges in any content tagged with our brands.
  • Keep it kind — no attacking other brands, creators or body types.
  • Do not share private information about other people without consent.
  • If your account becomes involved in a public controversy, let your assistant know so we can support you.

Deadlines

Your brief shows your deadline. Content is due 14 days after your sample is delivered unless your brief says otherwise.

  • Upload your draft in the portal for a quick review.
  • Post within 3 days of approval and paste your live link in the portal.
  • Running late? Message your assistant before the deadline — we can usually help.

Creators who post on time unlock more campaigns. Missed deadlines with no contact may pause future invitations.

Re-use rights

When you take part in a campaign you give Velobiotics permanent rights to re-use your campaign content on our brand channels, website, email and paid ads, credited to you where practical.

You keep ownership of your content and can keep it on your own channels forever.
